Oga, how did you get the dimple near the grills? Backed into something?

sharp eye :-) drove back from work one day and noticed it when i got back... so hard to tell how it got there (I'm assuming the car parked in front of me backed into me or something, but the angle is curious). that's pretty much the only bump on the car (aside from some concrete rash on the bottom of the front bumper).

Og, that sucks. Looks like someone backed right into you. Not a high-impact slam or anything like that. Just enough to dimple it in a really bad location. Tough to pull those kinds of dents out.

Yeah, we all have the rash on the undersides of our bumpers. Nature of the beast (especially when wives are driving).

no doubt :-)

So...without the ding...you would be asking $20k? Just asking. Are there anymoar dings and/or imperfections on the car?

no other dings... (outside of the rash on the underside of the front bumper..)

It's a nice looking car, Og. I think the ding is going to knock down the asking price a bit. Someone will have to pay to get it fixed. Convertibles tend to be higher priced. Without the ding, and with those miles, you're probably at the right price. My guess? You'll probably end up taking the price into the low $18K range, which will get you more bites. Just a guess, though.

Oga, I saw your Craigs List ad today. Good luck. It's a great car.

I ended up selling to an audi dealer in Tacoma. He gave me 17 which, with the tax credit, was worth 18.7 to me. A bit lower than the other dealer but he gave me a better deal on the new car.

Incidentally he says he'll list the 330 for 22K and figures to make about 2-3K out of it once he reconditions.

Oga, glad to hear you got it sold. I think you did fine. And I bet he will get that asking price. He'll be selling to retail customers who aren't as savvy as you are.

Did you end up getting a new Audi?

Thanks! Yeah, I got a 2011 S5 convertible. I considered a new M3 but too expensive, and the 335is with the 6-cyl turbo didn't feel as snappy as the S5.

Very cool, Oga.

Glad you decided to join the site -- even if it was to offload the ZHP.

Remember, though: once a member, always a member. Feel free to hang out with us -- even though you no longer own a ZHP.

You're welcome here.

S5's aren't cheap either... but definitely need pics because they are gorgeous.
