Pete, down at the pizza shop wants A/E's for his touring. I know we have to bake, but where do we even get rings for that? He does not currently have A/E's so the "upgrades" won't do.

Thanks in advance.

Additionally, do you of you guys run the 6k Xenesis bulbs JLeviSW offers?

oh doesn't matter. I can deduce its an pre LCI 325 or 328.

this is the best way to do it:
E90 LCI Halogens like these.

this is the cheapest way to do it:
Umnitza crapo leako all over the placeo

OK....thanks for the input. Looking for something quality for around $500ish. No happy medium I guess between the P90's and BMW?

yeah. I searched long and hard for halos to add to my E90 328. In the end the LCI halogens were worth EVERY penny plus being OEM he can resell them down the line and they'll actually have some value. I doubt the Umnitza lights will even last 2 yrs without an issue.

The angel eyes on the halogen LCI lights are extremely weak, and IMO aren't worth the hassle considering you can barely see them during the day.

ehhhh... you could see um enough in daylight - they're nothing close to the new BMW ones now though. You gotta upgrade the bulbs no matter what though, the OEM ones are WAY too yellow.

Open two tabs...log in as both...then switch between them as necessary :)

Dane, this looks like a fun project.

Accidentally quoted myself and posted by accident as well. Where's the damn delete button on Tapatalk? :shifty

So all it takes is a bulb upgrade to make the angel eyes stronger with the halogen LCI setup?

In that case...

Very expensive swap just to get AE's though. I wonder; would E46 AE's fit the bowls?

Yeah....I was thinking the same thing.

Buy the Weisslicht's, bake, unseal, install, glue = Done

they're probably are too small... look back at the photo - the bowls are really big.

i looked for this solution a while back and couldn't find anything. I'm sure if they DID fit - all the AE companies would market them for pre E9x w/o xenons because there is a big market for um.

If your buddy does get them and upgrades the bulb - Weisslicht v2 or LUX 5.0 are the best/brightest for those models.

I like the Mtech bulbs for price/quality. Don't get me wrong the weiss and lux are really nice. I just can't see dropping that coin for a little bit brighter effect. I actually dont like the top of the line upgrades because I feel they are to bright and in normal operation almost drowned between the AEs and headlights.

They are fine. Get V2's or get Weisslicht from Bimmian.

bulbs are fine but I've heard not as good for full replacements.

I agree with DW, weisslicht are bau5.
