View Full Version : Roundel magazine coverage of ZHP Mafia SIGFest 2012

Marcus-SanDiego
02-28-2012, 01:22 PM
Marc Biunno will be covering ZHP Mafia SIGFest 2012 for Roundel magazine.

He will be writing a feature story. The feature will include general coverage, interviews from attendees, and color photos. C. Withers Media Group will be doing the photography for the event (and its photos will be included with the feature story). Editors from Roundel magazine will pick photos from the dozens that we provide.

This development just adds yet another reason why you should attend the ZHP Mafia SIGFest.

See everyone there.

A little heads up. Roundel magazine will be focusing its attention -- when it interviews people at the meet -- on those who are CCA/SIG members.

If you're not a member of the BMW CCA, you should join today. It's a worthwhile way to spend $48 a year.

It's only been 6 months of membership for me and I can't recommend joining CCA enough. The camaraderie you feel on this forum is repeated and intensified when you're meeting and/or participating in events with your chapter. Having the opportunity to meet, chat, and view fellow BMW aficionados rides, is priceless.

This, a million times over. I have to admit, the BMW CCA turned my life around at one point. I used to be anti-social and stayed home after work/school every day. Now, the only time I usually spend at home is the time I take to sleep. Since I've met some awesome folks in the CCA, I've gotten more and more interested into these rolling things known as BMWs, and have spent all of my free time doing what I love doing thanks to the things these awesome folks have introduced me to.

True story.

My wife asked my why am I flying across the country to hang out with strangers. I told her, they're not strangers, they're already my friends. This meet just puts the faces with posts. I felt like I was being with extended family. Different ages, different walks of life... heck, even with all those cars that are the "same model", every single on of them was different, but we've bonded as a "family" because it's a selfless group of enthusiasts willing to help each other at a moments notice.

The event of the group "ZHP" shot. When we all were chanting to Casey..."Take it off, take it off...", as he was perched on a 30 foot ledge and he turned around.....and whipped off his shirt...only to reveal...he was wearing two shirts.

This says a lot about Casey.

Additionally......waking Casey up each morning scared the shit outta me. Just sayin...

Ryan,

you had us at hello.

On another story note, when we were in the parking garage and I was giving my thanks to everyone after being put on the spot by Dane, I got a little choked up because Im not used to being in the limelight like that. Im really the type to show up, have some fun, put in work, and roll out. However, in speaking how I felt, I realized how much people really care about this forum and the success of the other members on it. It means a lot to me....anyhow, I finished up and made it through for the most part. What surprised me was to see Ryan behind me with tears running down her cheeks.

I was like cool, at least one person was listening to me ramble.

I noticed Ryan, I always notice details.

I'm really not blaming anyone.

BMWCCA made a decision about wanting us to change our policy here at ZHPMafia.com.

ZHPMafia.com made a decision about whether it wanted to change its policy.

We could not come to an understanding.

BMWCCA decided that it did not want us to be a SIG with our current policy.

ZHPMafia.com decided that it did not want to be a SIG if it meant having a new policy.

Choices were made on both sides of the aisle.

Both entities will survive just fine.
