Well, since someone else broke the ice and posted some up, I'll jump in.

I have always had a love of photography, but have never had the time to put into it to get the skill sets that I would like to have. I have decent camera gear and some basic home studio equipment.

I've historically done some pics for friends and family when they ask, but this year got my first paying job from a friend who wanted me to do pics of some ice hockey camps he runs.

After many years of reading, learning, and trial and error-- I've discovered that the biggest difference between the photographer that I am now, versus the one I was 5 or so years ago, is that I at least know enough now to know what I don't know.

I look at the work of a guy like Casey and think, "Boy-- I'd like to be like him when I grow up..."

That is a spectacular baby portrait, don't sell yourself short, and thanks for the compliment but I also find that the more I learn, the less I know.

Great shots! The baby pic is my favorite.

I find with my 10 month old daughter running around I'm always reaching for the camera. I may have a handful of decent ones out of the thousand or so that we've taken since she was born in February. The hardest part I find is knowing what settings to use and when. I don't have a point and shoot, but I don't have a really nice rig either... (a Canon Powershot S2 IS).

I also like the family shot - probably has something to do with my fascination with low light shots.

Thanks for sharing!
