I have had a system installed for about 3 years. Loved it - sounds great etc.

Until.... last week

When I started getting some alternator whine and noise from 1 speaker... Got it to the shop today where we discovered the problem was a bad RCA cable. So we had to basically rewire the car.. what a pain.. but noise is all gone.

I was surprised that was the problem.. was expecting something much much worse and therefore more expensive.. just goes to show .. can be the little things.

Which RCA was it?

Long one from the pre out to the amp. Bad channel was right rear.

Guess that's the one most likely to weaken over time.
Good to know where to start if this happens to anyone else.

I wonder what it would cost to have bluetooth from the head unit to the amplifier. Tech is not out there, but I think it would be possible.
