Hi guys. Any detailers want to comment on how long 16oz of M105 and M205 will last me? Detailed Image has a free shipping promotion until the 27th and I want to get some polish, but not sure if I should get the 16oz instead of the 8oz. Assume that I'll detail every month to every other month.

16oz would probably last me.....maybe 2-3 details...I would say....but of course this is going to be dependant on how much work needs done.

I did not buy bigger, as I would like to see how product works for me, first. Nothing but great reviews though...

I just did my e36 and loved this product. I would buy the larger version and agree that you will get 3 to 4 details out of the 16 oz.

Great! Thanks for the input :) I've also heard nothing but great reviews and will need it for my full detail.

You shouldn't be polishing every month. Twice a year is pushing it IMO.

had this typed up earlier on my tapatalk but lost it and my brain went "meh"

Everytime you use polish you are shaving layers off of your clear coat. That's why most professionals use a paint thickness gauge to see how far they have left in the clear before they're digging into the paint.

Correcting once to get it all in order and doing minor touch up work a second time a year is the most polish should be on your car.

also remembered the other reason: your clear coat is also a UV protectant for your paint. Once you're out of UV protectant, your paint is gonna fade faster

Thanks for the good information. It needs a polish, but based on your detail thread it looks like as long as I seal and then wax it'll hold it over for quite a while. I was looking into either 8oz of product or 32oz of product (thought it was 16oz). I decided on the bigger one because I have two cars in the stable.
