Heather and I took ownership of our ZHP in Sept 2011, after the demise of our heavily modded E36 that we called "Lil Red".

As we were looking for the replacement for Lil Red, we decided that we wanted to have a sedan, as the kids are getting older and it would afford us more room. Heather was insistent about getting another BMW. And so the search for a ZHP began. After some time, we found a black 04 ZHP in Morehead City, NC that we were going to buy. I finally got the PO to send me the VIN (on the morning that we were to drive down) and found out that the car had a salvage title. We dropped that like 'hot potato', and Heather luckily found our current 03 IR ZHP in Charlottesville, VA. We called ... made a verbal offer ... and began our 4.5hr drive to pick it up. Here are several pics right after we signed the papers.

The ZHP at time of purchase:

2003 BMW 330i ZHP
6-Speed Manual Transmission
Imola Red with Alcantara Interior
ZKW Bi-Xenon Headlights (slightly burnt bowls)
Silver Cube Trim
ASA GT1 wheels (staggered set F=18x8 / R=18x9)
107,494 miles

I was the lucky one that got to drive it home to NC. Little did I know at the time that I would only be able to drive it on weekends after this .... :facepalm. This is Heather's daily driver, which only makes sense seeing that I work from home. And our 04 Ford Expedition is not the most economical on gas.

I took the ZHP to the indy shop that I work with (on weekends) to have it looked over. The list of issues ....

Left Front Wheel bearing (replaced)
Driver front window regulator (replaced)
Windshield Washer Pump (replaced)
Cooling System Overhaul (no issues but done as proactive measure)
'half dollar' size tear in the Driver's bolster (Heather repaired that herself :respect)

In the last 8 months ....

2 Oil changes
Diff Fluid changed
Tranny Fluid changed
PlastiDip'd the Kidney Grills
Replaced VCG / Vanos Seals / Spark Plugs
Had 35% window tint installed
Installed the Aux Input
Added the Bimmian 'Mobile' mount
Installed Umnitza Orion V2 Angel Eyes
AFE Intake
Installed additional power sockets .. http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?7211-DIY-Additional-12V-Power-sockets-and-USB-charging..

By far the largest undertaking was the detailing done prior to SIGfest ....

Current mileage = 126K

Future Mods ....

ESS Twin Screw Supercharger
BMW Performance BBK
OEM ///M3 Bi-Xenon Retrofit
H&R Sport Cup Suspension Kit
Headers
MagnaFlow Exhaust

Jeff,

Heather's ZHP is looking great so far! Looking at your future mods....can't believe how similar our ZHP's will end up being (except that I have OEM M3 side mirrors)...:thumbsup Looking forward to seeing how you guys progress :)

Jeff....I sure am glad you are so handy!! And that you work so cheap! Seriously though, Jeff is the reason I am even in a BMW, and my wife refers to him as my "Chief Enabler".

His car is immaculate, and I am glad that I get to be his "BMW apprentice"....:theman

Definitely a fine looking automobile in person. Very clean. Interested to see how the supercharger goes.

As for the bolster, I saw Heather fixing a few others' as well. Mad skills!

I don't like how the stitching at the bend in the wheelgap below the grips is all caddywhompus. On the OEM wheel the stitching is similar, but out of sight.

Jeff, it was great catching up with you this evening. Can't wait to see your project thread updated when you take on the projector retrofit to your ZKW headlight assemblies. Be sure to get a hold of me if you have any question while doing this retrofit :thumbsup
