I'm seeing a neurosurgeon on Tuesday, at which time I expect him to tell me I need an ACDF, and won't be able to practice nursing for 6-8 weeks afterwards. Since I'm in enough pain now that practice is challenging--and I'm also now only intermittently-employed, my spouse and I have decided its time to liquidate some of our nicer toys. Pics of almost anything are available on request, Prices are obo, but keep in mind we've a daughter to feed, clothe, and send to Harvard in thirteen years... ;)

Michele

1) (SOLD) Grado RS-1 headphones. These used to be Grados flagship. They're still wonderful, especially when combined with the RA-1 amp. Come with 1/4-1/8 adapters, extra ear cups. --$325

2) Grado SR-325 headphones. For my money, possibly a touch more sonically-accurate than the RS-1s, which I think are forgiving and slightly warm. I like them (325s) better for shorter listening sessions, as they're heavier than the RS-1s, brighter, and perhaps a touch crisper. $175

3) Grado RA-1 headphone amp. A solid-state headphone amplifier run by two 9-V batteries, and encased in a block of mahogany. What could be nicer? --$275

4) (SOLD)Taylor 614ce with new case, 2 new sets of strings, capo. Stored in a climate-controlled room (45% RH+/-3#). New Tusq nut. Bookmatched curly maple back, beautiful clear voicing. $1200

5) Kreitler Alloy Rollers, 4" drums w/alloy end caps, fork stand, Killer Headwind, all bands/ bearings in excellent shape. $400

6) Klein Mantra (Chehallis-built, later 90s) medium in Race Red. Rock Shox Judy XC, Fox Alps 5R, Avid Arch Supremes with Avid SD-Ultimate levers. Drivetrain XTR M-950 (8-speed; much more durable), RaceFace NextLP crank with 110/74 bcd, RF rings. Bars: Klein Stratos). Saddle WTB SST98 Kevlar $1295.

7) Serotta MAX853 hardtail. Marzocchi Z2BAM fork w/canti & disc mounts/uncut steerer, CK rasta HS, WCS stem, Titec PG-150 bar, Syncros Double-Row Ti BB, RaceFace NextLP cranks in 110/74 bcd w/RF rings, Avid Single Digit Black Ops levers/brakes, handbuilt wheels w/King hubs (32 hole) w/DT Revolution spokes, Mavic 517 SUP CD Ceramic rims, XTR M953 rapid-rise drivetrain, Gore cables. $1500.

8) Baldor 7" bench grinder with multiple wheels, including a Norton 3x SG wheel, 46 grit, I hardness (good for woodworking tools). 1800 rpm (I think). Details to follow, $350

9) Epson Stylus Pro 3800--professional-grade photo printer for a serious hobbyist, barely used. I've not researched resale value, so forgive me if the price is off--$750, with extra ink cartridges and paper (Epson, Harman Gloss, Harman Matte).

More goodies will accrue as time allows!

Good luck with sale. Great seeing you around. Sorry to hear about the medical issue. If I think I know you through this site, I think you'll go through surgery fine and bounce back like a champ. Gods Speed my friend.

That 614ce is enticing but I know I'm not supposed to be spending money and I still love my 410ce too much to part with it.

Almost forgot: surgery is 12/10/12 (very lucky--he was booking into late February, having a C6-7 discectomy and fusion, won't be driving for a month, nor practicing at bedside again until March. Looking for a desk job I can do once I'm off the narcotics...blech.

This just screams Madison to me. :rofl

I used to live right next to Williamson on West Wash. Got my Cannondale there, saw a lot of nice bikes roll out of there and Machinery Row.

I am Madison to the bone, baby! Although I think I could have been a Berkeleyite, too...

Still for sale?

MsRN? Hello?

Ummm, many of these things still can be for sale. I'm working 60-70 hours a week to make up lost income, but it's time to clean house anyway.

There is a resale/pawn somewhere on Park St that I know the guy who works there, name is Bob Lee, older guy, heavy set. If you're inclined to try it, mention you know Seth, his old friend from the Camp Randall Shell and maybe he'll take care of you.
