I was looking for some LED bulbs to buy and came across a section on halogen bulbs. No idea why I started looking there, but found stealth bulbs from Autoillumination for $3.49 a piece! Compare that to the $30 it costs for two of these bulbs elsewhere.

Here's a link. Unfortunately you'll have to scroll to find it. It's a little past halfway down the page (there are LOTS of products here) but you'll find it eventually.

Hm, good find... Of course, I've already bought them... I need to find the little ones for the sidemarkers.. Well, maybe...

I think it is $7 for the pair but I'd have to look. Shipping is probably more expensive.

I thought about going the LED route, but if I couldn't do all the blinkers then I wouldn't do any.

I paid the stupid price for stealth bulbs. I'm not entirely mad I did so..

OK, feeling kinda stupid here, but what exactly are stealth bulbs and why would we want them? I'm thinking it something to do with not seeing the bulbs in the lights? :dunno

Cars need the blinkers to actually 'blink' orange. You can't get clear bulbs to blink orange, you can get orange bulbs to blink orange though. But people don't want orange bulbs in their clear housings. That's the egg yolk look.

But what people figured out is that if you take amber/orange bulbs and coat them with silver.. that the bulbs will appear clear with the corners, but blink amber as per the law.

Thanks Dalton, thought it was something like that. The orange is not nearly that pronounced on mine, coupe vs. sedan difference?

Def worth a shot before buying bulbs. I'm assuming this has been done before. Right JP?

Maybe, it just depends on how the reflectors within the corner reflect the orange in there. Stealth bulbs are definitely cleaner.

Agree Dalton. Check out my sig, barely any orange. Looking at others, I can see much more. Strange....

just make sure to mask the metal connections at the bottom of the bulb, two extremely thin coats should be all you need
