I bought this spectacular wagon from Bruce (BCS_ZHP) last October. I'm putting it back up for sale because I'm buying a house in the spring and need to downsize. I currently have three cars (!) and this is the only one that isn't paid off. Economically it was an easy decision, but considering that this is my daily driver, I've grown very fond of it and do not want to sell it. I repeat, I do not want to sell it. But, such is life, certain sacrifices must be made for the good of the family.

Original FS Ad (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?4952-For-Sale-%28SOLD%29-2002-BMW-325iT-AW-blk-lthr-5-spd-55K-miles-13.5K)

- Brake Fluid Flush w/ATE Blue (65k)
- Power Steering Flush w/Amsoil Synthetic ATF(65k)
- Fuel Filter (65k)
- Serpentine Belt and Hydraulic Pulley Upgrade (65k)

I'm the third owner and it was garage kept prior to my ownership. No paintwork (besides the ZHP Bumper) or accidents to my knowledge. It has been hand washed and detailed by me during my ownership.

This is a used car, so please expect wear and tear commensurate to it's age, but I sincerely and honestly think it is in above-average condition. There are currently no issues with the car; everything that's supposed to work does. It is truly turn-key; buy this car and drive it home anywhere in the country.

Al,
I thought we were going to talk before you listed it? You know I'm very interested in buying it back but think you need to factor in that you've put another 12K miles, or 20% more mileage, on it since I sold it to you. Yes you've done some nice mods and preventative maintenance but my view (and the view shared by many others on this forum) is that mods & PM are just a part of the cost of ownership, they don't add to the price. I can't find your number,if you could PM it I'll give you a call.
Thanks,
Bruce

So the stock M54B25 made 184 hp & 175 ft*lbs; what do you estimate the mods have brought her to?

Thanks for the kind words guys. As for the power numbers, I can only go off what's published by the manufacturer of the associated mods. I haven't dyno'd the car myself.

- Dinan Exhaust -- 4hp 3tq
- Dinan Throttle Body -- 5hp 4tq
- Dinan Software -- 5hp 6tq
- aFe Intake -- 4hp 5tq

So in total, +18hp and +18tq. Thanks for asking!

Sometimes it's more than the sum of the individual mods. The touring was definitely quick, has a 3.46 rear vs. the 3.07 for a ZHP, so the lower gear ratio gives you faster acceleration. When I had it I also had a ZHP, the touring was every bit as quick off the line, accelerates hard & fast up to a point. From about 4K & up the ZHP has more, the ZHP revs faster in the upper band and is definitely toting less weight. The point about the touring that I found disappointing is it begs for a 6th gear on the highway, 80 mph is almost 4K rpm. I found myself fantasizing about a 6MT swap, actually got into pricing it out, and part of the reason I sold it was to stop myself before I did that and got too deep into it.

Y'know, this wagon would be a perfect host for JupiterBMW's totaled ZHP's drivetrain . . . :eeps

Word. The 3.46 diff is too much for a 5 speed. I can still get 30 mpg, but a 6th gear would be perfect.

GLWS OP.

Man... I love my car and all, I really do... but if something like this were local when I bought mine, I would be whippin' a wagon.

Thanks Bruce. Just took the deposit; heading to BMW of Towson for a PPI on Monday and if everything checks out, and I'm confident it will, she'll be going to her new owner shortly thereafter. I miss it already and it's not even gone...

How are you making out in this weather? I drove my e30 to work today kind of expecting the weatherman to be wrong, boy was he right!

Bought a S10 winter beater/dog riding truck a couple of months ago, no ZHPs on the slick stuff. No worrisome snow so far but my labrador Sugar Bear loves it and rides everywhere in it, we have her dog bed in the back under the Leer cab along with carpeting back there.
