One of my bulbs blew up in my fog light for some reason... Took it apart and discovered that the PO had jury rigged the right foglight:

Water probably got into it and blew the bulb when it touched the hot lense... The repair was quite crude but intense (metal tabs were substituted and cut to length!). I couldn't let these OEM assemblies go to waste so I repaired it with epoxy the best I could. However, I would like options nonetheless and found some very cheaparse foglights on ebay - hell, my bulbs cost more than them (and they include bulbs+ free shipping LOL). I rarely use my fogs so I was just thinking of replacing them cheap. Any opinions?

DDM tuning sells similar fogs for a tad big more, but I'd pay the premium to avoid eBay.

DDM is not exactly quality either, there is a member on here who once worked for them (not me).

eBay fogs are fine, it's your wiring you need to check out

My wiring or theirs? You have an excellent point, I've always just thought about the hardware and not the electronics... If it could compromise my wiring, I would definitely go a different route.

I'm just saying to look at your wires, if they look unmodified than don't worry.

I would suggest khoalty. I am on my second set of fog from them (road debris not quality issues) and I have never had an issue. Much cheaper than oem as well.

I've had both good and bad luck with fog lights off ebay. The first set was crap, but it was an aftermarket projector type for my old e36. The light output was complete garbage.

The second set was an aftermarket OEM style fog lights for my old 36 and they were perfect. Perfect fit and finish and oem matched light output. I think as long as you stick with OEM style you'll be good.

$32 isn't much to lose. I'll get them and do a review. They're "winjet"

I'd personally stay away from EBay, but in for a review if someone takes a chance on them. I'd probably go OeM.

Update: I've installed them and they look great. Pics to follow.

Pro: assembly housing appears to be more durable than OEM - thicker and more solid feel to them.
Con: slight manufacturing imperfections on lining up the lens to the assembly, but it isn't very noticeable and impossible to tell after the shroud gets on them. No complaints on fitment - seem pretty solid. I cannot recommend them at-the-moment since I've only just got an impression on them. Time will tell. Light output is good.
