Wanted to thank everyone for their contributions thus far. The site would not be what it is without all of you. You've bought into the Mafia lifestyle and it brings a smile to my face.

I don't hold it against them that they said it could not be done. Even my friends thought I was crazy for building a site that celebrated a single package on the 3 series platform. I probably would have said the same thing if I had been asked for my opinion (and wasn't the one launching the site).

I knew it would succeed, though, because I saw the ZHP Mafia name in too many places around the various fora.

P.S., does anyone remember when Dane and I consisted of 40% of the posts at ZHPMafia.com? I remember saying that there would be a day when we probably wouldn't consist of 10%. We're heading that way now. We now consist of 16% of the posts at the forum.

By the way, growth has slowed at the forum. It took us 22 months to reach 200,000 posts. That's about 9,100 posts a month.

It took us nearly 7 months to reach 250,000 posts from 200,000 posts. That's an average of about 7,150 posts a month.

Simply put, we're not as active as we used to be. We're still doing just fine but it's a metric that I watch nonetheless.

I attribute that rate per month drop to quality over quantity plus we've stickied some of the important threads so we don't rehash the same topics. All good, fantastic place to hang out.

Definitely some reasons for it. But still something I look at and evaluate every 50,000 posts. If we get to half the rate we're at now, I will have to incentivize people to get more active by raffling off DW's ZHP. Or Rando's. Whatever it takes. :)

A little more color on the numbers. Even though post counts are falling, page views and visits are climbing. We're getting a lot of activity here -- even if it's not translating into actual posts. So, nothing to worry about here.

Anyone who thinks we're going away would be a fool to think so.

I for one love this place. I am on almost daily, but am a infrequent poster. So much good info here! My very first post was about my quest for a ZHP and I commented that I was the former owner of a (gasp) Camaro SS.................................SO the first response was, Pics please and we don't hate on other cars!

First, thank you so much for sharing this kind of data. I've been on numerous forums over the years and have never been privy to this kind of info. I find it VERY cool that this is being shared with us.

Just looking over the stats for the site. It looks like we're continuing at a 7,000 posts/month rate. Not blazing by any means, but that's not what we do here. Quality, friendly posts are what we strive for and I thank you guys/gals for what you've made the site. Well done. At the current rate we may reach 500,000 posts by the New Year. Everyone said the site would fail. It has not and has actually become a very significant contributor to the BMW community.

Again, thanks to all for the constant support, knowledge, and friendly commiseration.
