Gorgeous car, but for that price I'd find a clean, 4-door E90 M3.

+1. Look at this FS ad (2008 M3 sedan 45k miles) posted by another Mafia member.

We all know AW and Cinnamon interior command a premium in the E46 ///M3, and of course the mileage is phenomenal, but still, I'd rather have an E90 over that, even if not AW...

Bill on the other hand might disagree, and if he does, I'm sure he's already spoken to the seller of the E46... :shifty :biggrin

Bill really NEEDS this one. Perfect replacement for the ZHP

That's a lot of $ for a car with no warranty!

That's a lot of $ for a car with no warranty!

The same can be said for cars that are being sold for that much that haven't been in warranty for 20 years (such as the E30 M3 if it has stupid low miles (less than 40k-ish).

The warranty doesn't matter anymore, really. If you buy a car like this, it's because you really want it. The warranty is just a minor inconvenience at this point!

Fixed. :biggrin

And I agree with you Bill, for that money, you'd surely get yourself an E90 M3.

Seems to me a 7 year old car would be more of a driver than a 30 year old car, this bringing the warranty into the equation. Certainly nobody expects a warranty on a legitimate "classic" (+ 25 years old). But I could see people shopping this car as their only car.

Nice car but like Jon said, e92 m3 are in that price range and I rather have a v8 if I was to keep a car for the ages. Since the zhp seems like a car I would keep for a long time.

Speaking of M3, I got to drive in an E93 M3 today. :drool That exhaust note. Wow.

Someone buying a 7-year-old M3 at this price isn't someone who will be buying it as their only car.

I would have seriously considered it as an alternative to buying a new 1er. So I'm someone, no? It would be my only car, and it would have been in the conversation. I cross-shopped used E46 M3s during my process, but nothing like this that got my attention.

I should have added the words: most people. An older car like this with mileage this low and a price this high usually ends up as a second / weekend car.

No, that's about right. Convertibles don't hold their value as much.

And for further reference, I bought my 2002 M3 Coupe with 42k miles for 19.7k 2 years ago. (I did sell it for 24k though with 53k miles)
