What's up. I'll edit this later with some background and info on how I came about this car, it's condition when I got it, and what I've done to get it where it is. So far, it's only been with me one week. I should have some pics and what not on here by end of the day or tomorrow.

Link to album with pics of the car as received (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/Revoldo/library/ZHP%20Before). There may be duplicates, sorry.

Below are some before and after pics of my first mods.

Looks good so far buddy. :cheers Headlight covers and new corners make a huge difference. I actually like the key hole delete a lot more than I thought I would.

Amazing how the small stuff can make such huge changes! Good catch on the keyhole cover Cam, I didn't even notice.

Gotta line up that bumper on passenger side. Other than that, looks fantastic. Reminds me I need new lenses.

And more money. :rofl

Nice mods! It's looking so much better. Key hole delete? So you have no key hole? Hmmm, so if you return to the locked car with a dead battery how would you pop the hood for a jump? Well, I guess you could still could get at it from the back!! :innocent

I've been thinking about that key-hole delete all day... the battery on key fob is pretty weak right now. I think I should undo the key-hole delete for a little while or I better start using my battery tender :o

On my list of things to do, are new bumpers and mouldings. Rear bumper has a little bit of damage from a previous incident. Looks like PO backed up into something or got dinged by someone else, and the front one not only is it loose on passenger corner like above mentioned, but it is also super rashed by rocks, etc. All the mouldings are faded too and back-to-black only lasts thru a car wash or so before you need to re-apply.

Sorry. Fixed it.

I have keyhole delete. My battery is in the trunk, so I'd just unlock it from trunk keyhole and jump it from the trunk (ask me how I know). Aren't the other E46 batteries in the trunk?

I've been told by a BMW tech that jumping directly from the battery instead of from the jump post in the engine bay isn't a good idea as it could cause electrical oddities to occur.

Ah, good to know. Fortunately that's a rare occurrence for me.

Damn such a huge difference.

Love that key hole delete as well. May need to consider that.

I just received in the mail the BSW speakers (8/10, all minus rear deck), oil change parts, roof spoiler, club sport splitters, control arm bushings, detailing materials... I'm gonna have fun tonight.

Changed CABs, end links, engine oil and filter, power steering reservoir/filter and fluid, got an alignment, re-painted the front lower grille and installed an ACS style roof spoiler this weekend.

Try "Forever Black" on the mouldings. You won't be disappointed. I used it once on my 1999 e46 and it lasted 2 or 3 years, until I sold the car.

Thanks for the tip on Forever Black. Will try this. I was also thinking about painting them since I have the materials.

I just replaced my burnt ZKWs with some AL headlights I bought used from a member on E46F. Easy swap and like Dane mentioned in another thread, needed to modify the brackets slightly to fit them. I'm just happy to have fully functioning headlights now :)

For the body moldings... I've said it a hundred times now. When you wax the car with the buffer, just run right over the moldings... I use a synthetic wax that doesn't haze white and my moldings look BRAND NEW... Give it a shot, so much easier and MUCH longer lasting than all the other 'tricks'...

Other than that, you've made a bunch of very small, but very GOOD changes, car looks like she's coming together, in very capable hands!

I haven't been around in a long while, been plenty busy. I added the ECS Tuning blind spot side mirrors to my ZHP... I'm not too crazy about them but they do their job... it's just that it's hard to tell between the two sections so you almost get a little dizzy looking. They do their job I guess though.

I need the B pillar covers around the seatbelts and headliner is sagging as well... that would finish off my interior which is in decent shape all around. new center console would be nice too. That, and the windshield wiper switch and my interior is mint. Would be nice to add bluetooth as well.

Exterior, I just want to have my bumpers repainted and mounted. Would like some club sport splitters as well...
