Thanks John! A few days ago I was looking through your mod-a-palooza thread from 10 years ago (hate that photobucket doesn't have the pics any more) and that's what reminded me of the S1 for the V1. I used to have one and it might still be in my old E38 that my dad has. May have to steal it back since they haven't been made in forever.. and assuming it still works after 16 years.
Cool! Yup, I loved it, but now w/phone apps you don't need it. And def too bad the pics didn't stay.

Yeah, I just found the JBV1 app info.. which is really cool. Wish I had an android phone now! :D though I know V1 has their app.

Thanks! Will definitely take you up on the vert chat.. I'm trying to just spend as much time as possible researching and googling and whatnot so I can understand what to ask vs what's already online. I spent the weekend pulling trim and repainting and also ordered a redye kit from Leatherique. (will start a project/maintenance thread as well)
I've also been trying to think through how to keep the V1 from being snatched if I happen to leave the top down somewhere. Do you secure your v1 when you're out and about or just put the top back up each time?
