I got the answer!
Originally someone used stock 135 brackets (modified probably) to install onto an E46 and Thats where the “lip myth” came from, not until other companies fabricated a proper bracket that allows the pads to fully seat the fronts.
Thanks a bunch for the input!
Going to try to reply to your PM!

Yeah I haven’t had any issues fitment wise with my 330 BMWP front rotors. I wish I could run a bigger diameter front rotor though. Anyone know if this is possible?
No fitment issues with mine either.

When I bought my brackets from him he only offered the 330i rotor option. I’d definitely buy something from him again though.
I *think* they fit under 18” wheels but at 11:47pm my brain is in cruise control. I’m sure you could sell your current brackets on here or E46f to make back some money if you went the CSL route.
That’s huge man, thank you. I’d love a bigger rotor up front to coincide with the larger caliper. Also, aesthetically, it would be much more appealing and fill the space behind the 19 inch CH wheel. I’ll look into those and rotors on ECS
Ordered some little odds and ends to finish up my rebuild. I can’t believe how much I’ve learned about this car by rebuilding the motor. Hopefully I’ll be installing the new stereo Monday with the aux cable mod.
