nope. $800 is a deal.
the 2008-2011 335's have welded ring gears, and as such need machining in order to bolt to a LSD carrier. the result is about a ~$2500 price tag. so, yeah - $800? cheap.

Looks like e46 ZHP rear diffs go for 175-250 on eBay. I wish that $800 included the donor diff
hey Im sorry for being a noob and a half but i really don't know diffs. if I'm looking on eBay and at partouts, what would be the ideal diff to pick up for this?
So I've got a 6-speed zhp. I don't plan on tracking the car but i wouldn't rule it out in the future. I do want to own it for a long time and that means having something that will get through winters. I really can't complain about the final drive. I wouldn't really know how i'd want to improve upon it. I always thought 1-4 were great, I don't need 5th, and 6th is great lol.
So i guess what I'm looking for would be winter driving improvements, maybe something that might get used on a track and maybe improved gas mileage? What are some of the other things that people look to get out of an LSD?
So, am i right that i need to find a 3.07 open diff and ship it to them for the LSD to get put in? What cars would i find one on?
