Awesome post. I remember doing all of this in the garage a couple years ago when I first bought my car. Spent a lot of money and got real intimate with the m3. Guess I saved a lot of money doing it myself though. Very intimidating for someone who hasn't done a ton of engine work but Raj (Beisan) has some excellent guides.

I found a DINAN rear strut bar for sale on the M3Forum. "Dam it something cool for sale and it matches my front strut bar!" I had to snag it.
When I colored the DINAN lettering with the painters pen it bled into the aluminum. I didn't said this one down like I did the front strut bar and polish it so it wasn't as smooth. This bar was pretty much brand new so I left it alone.
I sanded down it down with a scotch brute pad and it got rid of the painting blemish.
Perfection.
