Hot potato.
he bought it in late 2021 for $20,250 and has over $3k in receipts since then and not even including the cost of the exhaust! He needs about $25K just to break even!
rear driver side headrest missing? how does one not replace that? seems so easy to just buy at a junkyard, or am i missing something?
$15-$18K is my guess.
I do admit the bidding is unusually strong early on. I guess I should have used an auction site for my low mileage sedan.
Wish I had the means to come up with the cash for this. It's my dream version
Non-folding slicktop as well, the holy grail...
Yes, he lost money. IMO, this proves the used car market is cooling down.
The seller took a pretty big hit. $20,250 + 4.5% buyer's fee is almost $21,200 before sales tax/registration. If he put $3K into it he's crossed $25K easy
Car is back for sale in C&B. The buyer didn't close the deal on 2/28/2023. New link:

Sold for $17,750. Seller lost money on this car.
Poor seller lost even more money with the second auction. That's really gotta suck.
I honestly don't feel bad for him.
These absurd prices need to chill the hell out.

I almost bumped it to 18k.
My logic was that the eventual winner would outbid me multiple times, eclipsing the last sale price.
I wouldn't win in that scenario (made evident afterward by his comment that he thought the price would hit 20k), and then the prices for comparable ZHP's would continue to be astronomical and unaffordable.
That's the end of my celestial analogies.
I remember when 100k zhp's were $10,000
If only it had alcantara
