O absolutely not safe to drive on. I work as a environmental, health, and safety specialist/adviser so I am on board with that. What I did to get to work today was kind of funny. I did drive the car but only a mile an half down the road to the on ramp to the highway. Pulled over in a safe area, threw the flashers on, called roadside assistance, put my feet up and enjoyed my coffee and crossword while waiting for the tow truck. Half hour later I was being driven to work, car on a flat bed :)
But yes I plan on filing the complaint. My other rear tire is showing some signs of camber wear but it is not blown out. Also, by swapping the front end tires, my wobble / steering wheel shake was significantly decreased. The flat spot in the front tire either has more impact than I thought it would, or there is a corresponding flat spot in the wheel. Either way swapping it to the passenger side was noticeable in the almost 2 miles I drove the car this morning.
Can bent rims be unbent? I know I bent the rims on my 850R back in high school when I hit a curb, but can't recall if I had them repaired or just got two used ones.
