Unfortunately that cannot happen. Once the FIA and IMSA approve homologation for GTE and GTLM classes Pratt and Miller will not be able to make any modifications to the car. Joys of governed body racing.

That's one of the reasons I made it out this year - the last year of thunderous rumble. It's rumored to be turbocharged, and that also kills the idea of the sound being similar to the C7-R.
It's still naturally aspirated. The difference is the flat-plane crankshaft.
Vacuumed, Clayed and Sealed the car up...I noticed how nice it is to detail panels if you have a lift. I left the side doors 1/4 of the way up and I could work on the panels at eye level...no squatting necessary! haha
