I have seen a few For Sale listings that mention rust (either it has none or a small patch in a certain area. I did not think these were susceptible to rust. Is it just a fluke that some recent posts have mentioned rust or should I add to my listing that there is no rust evident on this example of a ZHP?
I suggest to add that to your ad. The more info, the better.
What about shipping and handling to Central Texas ?
I could be talked through setting up shipping.
Good point. I just didn’t recall seeing that mentioned in ‘15 when I was shopping. Fortunately when this example left Tucson it went to some “in between” states and to a pair of meticulous owners.
There are a few points on the E46 that are more common rust spots: the wheel arches, the area around the little strip behind the front wheels, bottom of the trunk, around the tail lights, area by the side skirts. A lot of it is just areas where mud and other crud can gather.
Good information for someone who may have to drive one of these off pavement or through nasty weather, slush and ice. However, I don’t believe that this one has been exposed to much of that. It typically waits in the garage for dry pavement during the infrequent snow events here and their aftermath. I have to admit I have taken it out in a couple of fresh snows but I gave it a good washing at the first opportunity.
I have a potential deal in the works.
