Falling in love again
I’ve owned my 04 ZHP since 2012. It was my DD for a few years and even used it in Alexandria VA, when stationed back there in 2014. However, a heater problem developed which hindered use in anything but warm weather. The car started to sit..a lot. I have think I put about 500 miles on it in 3 years. I considered selling it several times; I even put together an ad for BAT. Chickened out.
Then, about six months ago, I decided to jump back in to figure out the heater issue. I did all the normal things to no avail. I finally flushed the heater core multiple times and it is working flawlessly. needless to say, it’s getting driven a lot more.
A few days ago, I had to make an ‘East Coast’ tour of Montana going from Helena to Glasgow to Sidney and finally to Miles City. I put it 1200 miles on the car in three days. Wow. I am in love again and the love is growing.
Thanks for all the support in the past from this forum. I’ve been away for awhile but will be hanging around more.

Glad to hear. Any pictures to share over the years?

Good for you. I don’t think I’ll ever fall out of love with mine. It’s as hot and beautiful as it was on day one.
My problem is that I have a polyamorous relationship with all my cars.

Great looking car, glad you sorted out the HVAC issue. As someone who just got behind a ZHP again I agree with your sentiments. BMW certainly hit a sweet spot with the ZHPs. Just takes a little TLC, like any older vehicle. This forum has been a great resource and motivator. Keep us posted with updates, big or small.
