Hmmm, I was hoping to see this to go for more. I am contemplating selling my OG 2004 ZHP when my Ford Bronco arrives (yes, heresy, I know...) but am planning to GTFO of Oregon and all the stupidity...
So ending mileage is 157031. So 7009 miles for the year.

I am also a big fan of Griots wax and polish products

Here are photos of two of the three broken bolts. The second photo is the top of the threaded part of the bolt where it meets the head. The head of the bolt was not found. The third broken bolt looks...
Well I am the OG owner and nothing should have been done to engine mounts before, to the best of my memory. Strange to happen after 16 years.

I have no clue, and my Indy repair shop had no clue either. I am also surprised how skinny the bolts are. The appear to be 8mm. And just 4 of them to hold down a 3.0L engine? I think the engine bolts...
Well, I started to hear a metal on metal "clunk" when going over speed bumps (mainly on "unloading" the suspension). Turns out 3 of the 4 motor mount bolts literally sheared off. So now I have 4 new...
I have probably driven more than most despite the pandemic. Even though no work related driving (working from home since mid-March), I did a surprising amount of driving for outside activities.

I was trying but was afraid I was going to break something. It didn't just "pop out". I will try it again.
Some more confusion for me. According to RealOEM, the "plate" part you identified, is only for models up to 3/2003 (PN 51138236268). I can't seem to find a part for cars newer than 3/2003

Thanks for the link to the video! I tried tugging on the cable from the trunk switch side, and tried to feel all the cables from inside the trunk to determine if something was connected, and I was...
How do you remove the button cover to check?
So I gave up for now. Could not figure out how to detach the cable. Even pulled off the trunk liner and it provided no additional access.
Gonna do some more searching but what I have found so far...
I replaced mine with the OE regulator from FCP euro. It was less than $200 so didn’t bother with other versions. My original lasted 14 years, so figure that another OE one will outlast the car/me

This is where I am stuck. I can’t figure out how to detach this plastic part so I can replace the actuator

Hi all,
I have this same issue. I ordered the switch, and have successfully removed the boot "ledge" that houses the boot switch, but cannot figure out how to physically remove the connector. I...
Thanks for the additional info. Will open her back up and give it a try.
Do you know how to safely/easily/properly remove the ZKW bracket that I dremeled out?
Well, dunno what to say. Everything fits, didn't push or shove anything in and yet there is a gap. I found other threads where other folks also dremeled out material and there was no mention of a gap...
I don’t see the rails you are talking about. The corner light cleanly fits in the pinhole and the u-hook also fits in the assembly nut you access from the slot in the engine well fender.
It is...
This isn't the issue. My corner light "hook" does slide properly into the "nut" on the assembly. But I still have a gap.
One other note from other ZKW/AL threads was that the ZKW lenses were better than the AL ones. I can't imagine that the ZKW lenses could improve on the light on the road from what I posted above. The...
So of course AFTER I did my swap, I found several posts on mafia detailing the same issues I went through
Like this one:...
Well, I guess I made the right choice. I just posted a thread about my effort swapping a MM/AL assembly with my ZKW and I eventually figured out I needed to dremel out the ZKW mounting bracket that...
