I'd say do it right and paint it body color.
You came this far to rebuild the car - doing it any other way is just doing half the job, IMO.

You should get a DISA from FCP Euro. Then you'll never have to buy one again!
An M3 hood doesn't fit the sedan. I believe it's wider.
