So the swap is going really well. Took out the automatic shifter assembly! Wasn't that hard. Tomorrow, if I have time, I will remove the driver seat and change out the pedal assembly.

It's always a quest finding the right tire shop that will deal with your annoyness and will take extra care of your coated wheels!:shift
Finally took it out! What a pig! I had to use a ratchet strap and hook it to the rear subframe and pull it out! It just didn't wanna come out at all!!

I don't really feel like looking for it now, but I saw that info on e46fanatics. And wow, I thought the single mass conversion was only possible for 5 speeds. I guess we will have to wait and see....
Pretty much all I need for the swap. Don't mind the two shifters. One is from a z3. It came with the gearbox.

You are doing a 5 speed swap as well? Noice! Make sure you do the shift pin service on the gearbox for smoother shifting. That will also eliminate the infamous leaning shifter problem.

Started the auto to manual swap yesterday on my zhp. So far, took off the exhaust, (only one of the 4 exhaust bolts broke off the stud! Others came off hard after a few minutes of heating them up)...
