You can have plastic rechromed - Google it! There are several methods/processes - don't know what would be appropriate for the light bowls. I wonder if it could be wrapped?

I believe the part #s are different for coupe & sedan - did you get the correct part?
I was considering the brass bleeder but read of issues with the metal & plastic parts not playing nice together. I did get the lower-pressure cap & don't overfill the tank to help keep the pressure...
It's straight forward, but the springy screws can fail/wear out & be a bit fiddly. You can find new cover locks for ~$15 each, unless someone has a parts car & can sell them cheaper.

They can be replaced without removing the intake manifold but it's much easier with it out of the car. The two plastic pipes are part of the CCV system.
