Not easy. How much are they quoting? It can be done by a DIY. Some people do it by removing the intake manifold, some don't. Search Youtube for a video on it by "50sKid".
When mine went bad I...
Are you still on the original fuel pump? Definitely post your codes.
Sweet! And they looks great too. Has a slightly meatier look. Thanks
I have the stock ZHP wheel/tire combo. I notice every time I drive by a speed sensor it's says I'm going 3 mph slower than my speedo indicates. I had this same situation with my truck and ended up...
Should have the alignment checked and put a pry bar on the trailing arms to see if the bushings are spongy.
You should scan the computer for codes.
Very nice condition and low miles. It's sweet!
Maxlife ATF. Cold start issue was after first starting on a cold morning and putting into gear, car did not want to move. Issue was resolved by filling transmission with higher viscosity fluid. ...
Maxlife runs perfect in my truck but I had major cold start issues with it in my zhp.
I had the same problem about 6 months ago. I guess that hose is a common failure. I found the hose to be the cause by spraying carb cleaner on certain areas while monitoring short term fuel trims...
I don't think you need a total replacement to tame your M3. I think you'd be fine just replacing the stock struts/shocks with some Koni STR.T's. If you need new tires sometime, you might consider...
+1. Awesome info.
My roundel fell off too. Went about 6 months without a roundel and then one day I happen to see small dot the back patio just laying on the ground. Picked it up and it was the roundel! I super...
I only put 750 miles on my car since Covid hit last March. I'm wondering if I should still change the oil this May like I always did in previous years when I was putting on like 6k.
Replaced the hood supports that were not reliably holding up the hood any more. I used 50sKid's YouTube on it.

I believe 50sKid has a video showing how to test the injectors and fuel pressure. Also, you might try the 02Pilot Mod to reduce oil consumption.
I agree. Something must have caused a backfire in the intake. I hope the mechanic tested the injectors. It would have been an easy thing to do at that point. Also should have tested the fuel...
Here's a pic of the three vacuum caps on the back of the intake manifold.

If it's not that then try your best to localize the noise. Maybe it's a fan belt pulley? I think the SAP can...
The Pre-Cat O2 sensor voltages should be in the 1 volt range. They don't deviate much.
Use OBD Fusion and an OBDII WiFi adaptor to view your short term fuel trims, MAF data and O2 sensor voltages. I had poor idle and that's how I tracked it down.
Not driving my ZHP much at all since last March. I used to drive my car to work and back twice a week. Then covid hit and the company moved most staff who do my type of work to virtual. It's...
You should add a DISA valve upgrade. You don't want that thing coming apart in your intake manifold.

I'm having doubts about this diagnosis. Dane, have you confirmed the "blind plug" is missing/leaking? Not just a bad valve cover gasket leaking oil into the cavity? Aren't those "freeze" plugs...
This is my favorite ATF that I have tried in the ZHP (and I've tried many). And it's not expensive.
