Correct, my estimate is 30 miles were on the highway.
I compared the "trip computer" stats on the X3 and 335. Both trips were to the same destination (42 miles in morning traffic). The 335 has better MPG by 4 miles:

I was in a similar situation a couple years ago. I looked on CL and found some ads renting spots in apartment buildings. You may want to check into that.

Some people just remove the fabric from the pillars. I wonder if black spray paint could be applied to improve the looks.
