Had the day off, and ended up doing the VANOS via the m54 kit from Dr. Vanos.

With almost 150k on ZHP's clock with the vanos never being done (-_-), I opted for the full unit replacement, rather...

Ahh my apologies. I mean, how bad are repercussions you receive while driving... as in, if you hit a big bump/pothole, how much feedback do you receive in the driver’s seat... Worse, or better?

Curious, in your experience, if since the Apex wheelset would be lighter, if the “crashiness” of the ride feel over uneven surfaces and bumps would increase, in comparison to the 135’s?

Saturday, I successfully did my first ever front control arm bushing job on my zhp.

Also installed aeurotray and "ultimate cupholders" as replacement for the old ones.

Two very different jobs.....

I think my zhp could benefit from this, as it suffers from the 2.8k RPM stutter... As far as i know, the software has never been updated.

Oh absolutely. Just had them fitted today. They're not nearly as spritely as 135s with michelin's, but more cushion-y riding on just 17's.

For the first time in my 3 series driving, i shall fear...

The white with black interior is quite a classy combo... a shame it's been stolen :P

Quick update:

I first swapped the voltage regulator, which didn't exactly improve my results- still at low voltage, car would die pretty quick.

Went ahead and did a whole new alternator swap...

Funny thing that this thread should pop up.... I don't entirely mean to hijack it, but I had a VERY similar issue.

Last night, I was driving (cruising at 80 on the hwy), everything operating...
