Thank you for your replies. It is not for sale at the moment. And I will keep my ZHP. However when it is for sale I will contact the posters here who showed first interest. Good news is it is staying...
Yes I understand. It has been garaged for the last couple of years. It was serviced regularly and last thing I remember was the valves were adjusted. Everything else is immaculate inside and out....
Errr I just found out it has 27,000 miles. And those are Highway miles. It just gets better.
Thank you so much for the reply. I had no idea they had a resale value like that.
Hello fellow ZHP owners. I have a question for the experts here and I hope it is not off topic. I have a relative that is interested in selling their 2004 M3 in immaculate condition with 63,000...
Yes that was a big factor. That was the whole point of keeping the stock Sat Nav in place. It was about the only compromise I could make and have audiophile type quality in the car.
No the lid doesn't close. The stereo will be mounted in the cd storage tray (or whatever that is) behind the flap in the trunk. Out of site and out of mind hopefully. I am sure I could modify the...
Well after a bit of fiddling I made it work. I had gone through countless options in deciding how to upgrade the stock Sat Nav system. I originally wanted to just replace it with a newer double din...
By the way. The button was on, however it doesn't do anything as I have bypassed the stock amp. But it is interesting that its the stock amp that readjusts itself to change the sound.
This may seem like a silly question, but why do you need the USB input anyways? Doesn't the Mediabridge accept audio streaming via bluetooth? You could just have a normal charger from the lighter and...
I thought I would share a pic of the Dynaudio midrange in the door. Probably not the highest quality. Yes I know some of you may say "How could he do that to a ZHP?" But I thought that the old...
Actually I will have to check. I remember playing with that button before lol. Would that still work without the factory amp? I am determined to do the Pioneer in the trunk install. I have confirmed...
I am noticing more and more that the stock Sat Nav head unit sounds ok when the car is off. As soon as I start driving or turn it up it seems to attenuate the bass and increase the midrange. I know...
I have already replaced the amp. The head unit just does not sound very exciting to me. I don't see the point of adding a processor to clean up what I perceive to be an less than ideal signal coming...
Thanks for asking. I thought about the MS-8 but I don't see the point in trying to turn a sows ear into a silk purse. I was going to get something like the Pioneer DEH 80 so I can have bluetooth as...
I put some Dynaudio 162s and tweets in. I wanted to cut the doors and use rings to do it right but I got impatient and just mounted them to the stock plastic rings. I cut the speaker rather than the...
I will get some pics up asap. I want to sort out the rear carpet going over the sub first. I have got the audio bug and I am already itching to cut the doors and put some good 6.5s in.
Well I finally did it. I got an Infinite Baffle sub firing through my ski port. I have the sedan and the ski port came out with just pounding with my fist. I originally wanted to mount the sub from...
I have had my zhp for about a month or so. I just can not live with the stock system. I just added preouts a JL amp and some old German MB Quarts. They were a low end model but already the system is...
Not sure if these are of any interest to anyone. I am not affiliated in any way but they are quite near me so I can go check them out if anyone needs me to.
...
When you drive newer 3 series including the 2013s and say "this is very nice but somehow I prefer my ZHP".
And when you know the difference between a Bosch and ZKW headlight.
Man I love that colour.
Aaaaaaaaahhhh. Thats all I needed to hear. Lol
Well it is a very odd driver. From what I read it does not need an enclosure so I was thinking about cutting a hole out of the ski pass and mounting it there. It should take up minimal trunk space....
Sweet interior. Is that Napa leather?
