Yeah. Im skeptical that happened though because when removing the pan, it’s usually caked on to the gasket and tranny, and requires some wiggling to remove
Possibly bent, but I don’t know how it would’ve happened.
It’s oem or OE from fcp euro
There was a video I found on YouTube where a guy retrofits some new gasket material into that area, and it has been working pretty well for me thus far.
No these are not genuine bmw. They are also from a fcp euro set, but they came with threadlock and went in smoothly.
You’re right, the torque spec is very small, and I used a small torque wrench.

Here you can see where the ATF leaks...
Over half a year since my last post, but car has been sitting since mid december due to a dead starter.
I recently started a new job and was very busy with a move, so I had really no time to work...
So I have been battling a leak from my transmission as the car was sitting in storage. A decent size wet spot developed on the transmission. When I got under the car, I saw the leak was primarily...
That’s funny, mine also was originally a Florida car, eventually made its way to California (via Virginia and Texas), and is now in WA :)
Yeah I DIYd it. The c pillars look worse than before I started, but at least the fabric is sticking now haha.
Not fun at all. I think what happens is the fabric shrinks via all the heat cycles and...
i know everyone says to vacuum and refill by weight, but can't you also use a proper manifold gauge and fill until you have the proper pressures taking into account ambient temperature and humidity?...
Noticed some interesting things in this project, like remnants of life at the bmw factory in Munich
Found this little guy hiding in the door sill under the carpet. Probably crawled in during...
Last piece of maintenance was the sunroof, which when fully retracted, would pull the visor all the way back and not pull it forward when closing. I thought I would inspect the mechanisms, but...
With the door cards off, I wanted to swap my black cube trim to the NB door cards. I thought it would be easy, but this ended up being the most difficult and time consuming part of the whole job....
Haven’t posted to my build thread in a while, but figured I would this time because of the magnitude of this project.
Want to give a thanks to people like roverT, BMWCurves, ivegotissues666 from...
I would be ok with that too haha
So was it just a Freon issue? You had a leak?
What was the issue? I’m going to recharge mine today. Well, first I will check the pressure in the system and then decide if it is a Freon issue or something else.
Right now I’m using a scosche magnet that sticks to the front console.
Pros: low profile and matches the interior. Doesn’t get in the way of any buttons or vents
Cons: the adhesive does not...
Nice
Nice, glad you made use of it. Having one would have made my life easier back when I was working on my lines
Unable to find definitive info on this, but does someone know if I need to get a new wire harness for the heated seat swap, or are our cars already equipped with the necessary harnesses to...
Just so happens I’ll be selling my black interior soon. PM me if you can’t find it locally :)
For sure. I've heard good things, even that their prepainted parts are pretty spot on.
Exactly what I am looking for!
Will pm you.
