At least two or three times over the last couple of years my radio / nav just stopped working for no apparent reason. No functionality whatsoever, but if I shut the car off and wait a couple of...
BTW - I ended up going with a $200 Meyle PS pump, LF-20, from Bimmerworld. I’ve shyed away from Meyle stuff in the past, but it has a 4-yr warranty so I shouldn’t have to replace it again for a...
One other tip for anyone replacing a steering component or flushing/bleeding the system…
I found this hack for turning the wheels while stationary; Apply a thin film of grease to two vinyl tiles...
If you do remove the expansion tank, you'll have better access to the fitting. I did it from the other side after removing the headlight. Using two pairs of pliers you can pull it back pretty...
Thanks for the info... In anticipation of the pump's arrival today, I tore into the car last night; Pulled the reservoir and the hose which goes to the radiator. I opted to pull out the headlight...
Thanks Pete - I prefer new. Used is a crapshoot… I don’t want to replace it again for at least a few years. I found an aftermarket LF-20 pump at Bimmerworld with a four year warranty for $200.00......
Also finding some lower-priced LF-20's but they're apparently for earlier E46's. Not sure why 2002 and up would have a different one; It's confusing and misleading because they're all called LF-20.
Hey gang - haven't posted in a while, and like a long lost relative when you win the lottery, I've returned because I need something. :help ;)
My PS pump just gave up the ghost today - no warning...
Thanks. Just for reference for anyone asking in the future; the M6x16mm did fit my ‘04. It was a little tight at first but it fit. VERY snug fit which I attribute to the paint which was clearly into...
Can anyone confirm our roof rack bolts are M6 x 16mm?
I searched online and everything on E46Fanatics and elsewhere says that’s the size, so I bought some; First at Home Depot, but they wouldn’t...
Hey Dave! If nobody takes the shell in the end, would you be open to cutting up the body? I need the part of the right rear wheel arch where it always rusts. Mine is pretty bad and I don’t want to...
Wow - $14.5k for an '05 with 133k miles - not bad! Glad it worked out well for you. I paid $7,750 in 2016 for mine with 118k miles. If I get even close to what I paid when (if) I sell it, I'll...
ps: I might suggest you reply in the comments about having the headlights professionally restored, and add a photo if you can; It's always a turnoff for me when I see dull headlights...Likely also...
Not saying you shouldn't donate, but I doubt you'll need to list it here... BaT will likely produce a very good sale price.
Anyone catch this? Seller is “ZHPMAFIA” - someone here no doubt? Love this color.

Maybe I’ll catch up with you guys at BMW Day…
Can’t believe it’s been 3 years!! Anyone in the Boston area going to GCD at Larz Anderson tomorrow, 6/27/21? I’m going to check it out, but not putting my car on the lawn.
Judging from your sig, looks like you picked up an E92 M3… Congrats! I’m jealous. I want an E9x so badly…if for no other reason besides that exhaust note.
This yours Pete? I recognize the plate…

Yep - still here. Haven’t been active lately… Still have the car and still love driving it - except for when the battery is dead, of course. :biggrin
How’ve you been?
Thanks John.
Battery died on me yesterday, and won't take a charge... Going to grab one of those in this thread unless there's a newer recommendation?
Also - I heard from a friend the computer needs to be told...
Interesting opinion...

Posting this for a friend of mine... Not a ZHP but it’s darn close; has lots of ZHP bits as far as I know, but not the engine. The Alpina wheels are a nice touch.
