I like manual dim better but my oval mirror is one of the only mirrors without a clone nose I know of. Maybe I bought a clone but either way I love the clean look of no nose. Glad your in the oval...
Looking great Gary. Can't wait for the fan mod so I can take care of it after moving.

Didn't have the time yet. Was going to tie into the aux fan controller but decided to just do what you're doing with the NPT. I'm moving so lots of other things taking priority at the moment.

Gary looks like you're going to beat me to the task of doing this. Looking forward to it because I think you either put a temp gauge into the radiator, tap into the coolant line, or tap the aux fan...
Nice idea on the plastic shroud. I haven't had that on for quite some time just because it was the biggest PITA to get off to work on things.

Such a great idea. Where'd you get the voltmeter?

Sanding it down made it look pristine. Great job!

Awesome post. I remember doing all of this in the garage a couple years ago when I first bought my car. Spent a lot of money and got real intimate with the m3. Guess I saved a lot of money doing it...
That ring looks great! How easy is the wiring? Plug in play or soldering involved?
That's cool. Might need your input if I ever decide to install one in mine. Did you code the car after?
Neighbors must have been pissed off. Thing sounds like it wants to eat children.
Holy chit. Thing sounds great. The rasp is perfect considering the stock rasp and that is the s54. Fully understand the cabin noise issue which is why I got rid of my SGT muffler.
Yea it is time consuming for sure. Don't say I didn't warn you. Bet you'd pay the $250 if you could go back in time. Oh and it'll be worth it...plus you'll have done the labor so it'll sound that...
Wait what? How is the precat wire too short? It's like less than 2' from the valve cover to the pre cat on the header.
Those will be much easier to install than the euro section 1. Hopefully you'll have it running soon.
Love how these look. Would love to see the Ti tips. I had the SGT muffler with Ti tips a while back and they were nice. Luckily you won't have the branding on the tips.

Is this seriously a tip problem? What tips did you buy Seth?
They look very nice. While you're under there and buttoning up the install be sure to shake the thing a couple times to see if you have rattles. I still need to figure my rattle out. Wouldn't think...
Have you spoken with Mike? I would assume your muffler is on its way if Gary's is. Couldn't be a tip thing unless you order tiger blood tips.
Boom! You're going to love the sound. I've heard Mike's car in person and it is awesome. It sounds great with headers and a rasp or catted section 1. It sounds incredible when super charged.
Note...
No it's actually not needed. You can actually tilt the tank so it won't drain and then add the glove/rubber band. The lower tube is the one that leaks if you leave it (tube that connects to the other...

Take your time, don't remove the A/C lines lol, use silicon or rtv to hold the gaskets to the head when installing headers, and...
The white car and the blue car show the x pipe difference pretty well in this video.
With OEM muffler I would expect your car to sound a little better than the first because of the better flowing...
I'll try and draw some pictures later to help the install or you can just call me when needed.
