Hey Guys,
Looking to buy some lightly used / used tires for my ZHP. I have a dedicated winter setup but just need something cheap to use until the snow starts to fly. Tires need to be good enough...
I would be down for one a bit later in the summer. June is going to be swamped for me but July and August look good. My GF will be out of the country then and I will have access to the FiST to use as...
I have the Schwaben version of the foxwell nt510 and it is a good tool but it is expensive. I paid $250 for mine but it is nice to get BMW specific codes. That said, often you will get no returns on...
OFHG is good, replaced not that long ago. I was thinking that it could maybe be a leaking fluid, maybe a brake line por thr power steering? But not too sure, didn't have time to work on thr car this...
Ok, so a few updates on the situation. One, tire pressures are on point, so it's not that.
Two, it's not a sticking brake caliper. I'll upload the photos after work but I used a thermal imaging...
The rear deck lid is notorious for making rattling noises. I would check out the rear lid and try and see if it moves around at all, or is rubbing. The sound you describe is a little different...
Mafia,
I have yet another issue with the ZHP and am hoping some of you may have some insight. Recently, past 3 or 4 days, I've noticed a very odd smell, in between electrical fire & burning...
WUT
2 grand for a strut bar? What makes it that expensive?
I was looking at centric options on tire rack and they are pretty affordable. The centric cryo treated rotors with stoptech street pads was only $80 more, so I am going to convince my GF to go this...
SO i should wait to get my trans mounts before I do the shifter rebuild. How did you support the transmission while you where on jack stands? Just use a jack of some sort?
I'm pretty interested. Will you program before it is shipped? Also, does it have any other features that can be programmed besides the triple blink?
I did control arms and tie rods in a parking lot on jack stands, a pretty easy job to do. Mine are not that old and I feel like they are already kinda of shot feeling. Mine probably have around 20k...
Anyone on here from Cali with the plate "0831 ZHP"?
If so I passed you on the 101 in Santa Barbara
Great, thanks ZHPizza. Def gonna need this, lots of little parts in that tight space
Damn, been really busy with work and havent had much time for my car. however, the Fiesta ST, FiST, has gotten 4 new tires and I have new pads and rotors for all 4 corners coming. Anyone familiar...
Double check all of your wiring and connections too. I had weird issues with my sub when the grounding cable was a little loose. Def sounds like an electrical issue and it may subside while driving...
OOOOOO let me know how it all goes. I just bought M3 trans mounts, and def need a guibo, so I was thinking of a very similar maintenance procedure for this weekend or the next.
Keep in touch on...
Where you able to complete the task with the transmission in place? Or lowered? I am going to have to do this in a parking lot most likely.
Lets see if this link works

Hmm, I'll post again soon. It was the complete rebuilt kit from Turner with around 10 or so new pieces. Wondering if I need the whole rebuild kit for ~$125 or if I can just buy a few key components. ...
Hello Mafia!
Finally got my first few paychecks in the bank and now its time to spend some of that hard earned $$$ on car parts. I plan on rebuilding my shifter and doing trans mounts at the same...
I'll probs do this over the weekend. I think it may have a small one but last time I smoked it, nothing came out. Maybe developed recently though. Driven closer to 500 miles, not 300 as previously...
So I cleared the codes and they haven't come back yet, hoping they stay away

Your right down the coast from me. I'm up in SB and work down in Carp. Let me know if you ever need help with something, including diagnostics. I have the Schwaben Prof. BMW scanner and I have a...
Started my new job and have been really busy. I can tell i'm really going to like this job, even after just one week. Bonded with my Supervisor over BMWs as he now has a X5 named Brunnhilde lol.
