Haven't been around much lately, but last week my ZHP went to the indie shop to get fresh oil. The tech/owner likes LIQUI MOLY and prefers it to BMW's oil, so that's what's in there now. I swear it's...
Holy crap, that's at least a couple grand below typical asking price, a little more from a dealer. Wow! Steal is right!

Wow, that looks really nice!
This is the one thing on the outside of my car that looks pretty tired. It's not as bad as yours was, but it is showing some fading and some cracking in the rubber...
Got my 135's back from the powder coater with fresh Michelin PSS's and got them mounted up yesterday. It ended up a little darker than I was hoping, so I'm still on the fence about how much I like...
That's my nightmare. My wheels are getting refinished right now and I can't imagine getting them done only to have them gouged up again.
The powder coater is going to mount and balance my new set....
The ZHP is on stands in the garage, and the wheels are at the powder coater. Last night, I pulled the shifter/boot, park brake/boot, and steering wheel and sent a box off to Michael at Coby Wheel.

FINALLY got the wheels pulled off today to take to the powder coater tomorrow.

Yeah, nice work on the mirror!
I really want to do this mod, but between the whole "remove these pins or you'll ruin the mirror" thing and the fact that I have a vert and verts need the vert...
I won't daily drive it. For some reason, I hate the thought of just driving to work and back only to leave the car baking in the hot sun all day. I'll drive it on the weekends all the time, out to...
Replaced the plastic insert in the hood cowling. I've had it sitting in the parts cabinet since list fall and just hadn't gotten around to it.
It's probably kind of wasteful because the old one is...
Niiiiiiiice. That looks so good! I can't wait to do the same.
I keep going back and forth between grey, red, and blue for the center stripe. I have the same interior as you.
I was going to do...
I wouldn't say mileage is irrelevant. Plastic degradation is a function of time and exposure. Plastic in an engine compartment will be much more brittle after 10 years and 100k miles than it would be...
It's an '07 E83 X3 3.0si... N52B30, the same engine used in the E90 and a bunch of others. I think it's actually a great engine... It's just a nightmare to work on with all the tiny clips and...
Sunday, I started to do the valve cover gasket replacement on my wife's X3...
Half an hour in, I break a retaining clip on a sensor plug. The plastic is ridiculously brittle. This is an '07. With...
One of my rears started doing that when it cooled off in the fall. I used the soap-and-water trick and the damn thing was bubbling in 8-10 places all around the bead. I guess they were just too...
Good save! Were you able to give him an earful of horn to let him know he's an asshat, or did you even have time?
I've started just leaning on my horn when people run through reds. I mean, with...
Have you heard the story about GM's $60,000/gallon clear coat they developed for the Corvette ZR-1 CF roof panel? I'm sure it was a development cost amortized over a relatively small number of cars,...
I had the same thing happen when I picked up my ZHP. I took a commuter flight and met the transport driver in Cedar City, UT. He had my car and a Raptor he was delivering to Shelby Performance in...
Looks awfully busy. Did you go back later?
:)

Cool, thanks. I've ordered from them a couple of other times too and had no issue. I was more wondering about the VictorReinz gasket. I know everybody has their opinions on OE vs. OEM, but I do like...
Ordered for the wife's X3:
- Eccentric Shaft Actuator Seal
- Variable Timing Unit Gasket
Ordered for the ZHP:
- 20 lug bolts
- 4 center cap emblems
- 4 stick-on ///M emblems
Wheels get...
LOLs!

I like how it's parked right next to the "NO PARKING ANY TIME" sign. Breaking the law, breaking the law...

No kidding. Mine looks way better than that because at least the rubber gasket at the top is still all intact, but that rubber is still very cracked and the black plastic has definitely turned gray...
