I’ll keep trying, my cheapo harbor freight magnet’s swivel head has gotten really loose and folds over with a gentle breeze making it pretty useless.
Now we’re talking, that looks awesome.

Is there a creative way of retrieving something from the bottom of the DME/brake booster compartment abyss? I dropped one of the DME cover torx screws and can’t locate it even with the plastic heat...
It’s reassuring to hear multiple positive firsthand experiences with Stabilus. If the only good option had been $72/ea. for OE hood struts I’d just drive around with a 4’ wooden dowel in the trunk.
That’s good to know also, because I’m going to need hood struts pretty soon. I’ll just assume they’d be the same as the trunk experience you had.
Awesome thanks, I know üro stuff is typically frowned upon so I was hesitant.
Anyone have experience with the Üro aluminum PS pump pulley? My pulley is cracked, that aluminum one is the same price on Amazon as a Febi plastic one from FCP.
Thanks, that confirms what I saw when searching the part number I got off RealOEM. That short section of flexible line on my car has a different texture than normal vacuum hose—it’s the same as the...
Does the vacuum line between the fuel pressure regulator line and F connector need to be something special, or will any vacuum hose be sufficient since it’s only fuel vapor and not direct fuel...
Dropping things into the abyss is so frustrating!
While you have that apart let me ask you: are the metal spring clip doo-dads that hold the O2 sensor wires to the fuel rail all rusted up on your...
Okay sorry for the delay. I see 3 fine thread T30s
-2 below the throttle body facing upward
-1 to the right of the ICV, it attaches the bracket that holds the “sucking jet pump” thing on the...
Hmm, I’ll take a look in the morning and see if I can spot any hidden ones. Mine’s still off the car.
Did you remove any of the metal brackets that attach various things to the manifold? I took my manifold off the other week, the only place I remember encountering internal torx on mine were on the...
They used to post a spreadsheet of the current blemished inventory on the M3forum classifieds, but I haven’t tried go to that website since it went berserk a while back. Is it even still a website?
...
I’m not sure what spare tire replacements cost, and this might be more than you want to spend, but have you ever seen the Apex “blemished” price list? They sell cosmetically imperfect wheels for...
8k/12k isn’t very much, is it? Isn’t that like 450/675 in lb/ft?
What are the M3’s F/R spring rates?
Ground Control has famously bad customer service, so I’m impressed you got an answer. Knowing that, I still attempted to ask them a question about their articulating spring jacks (or something...
You could try one of these sleeve-style band clamps. I’m not 100% convinced it would work, but that’s the best temporary solution I can think of.

Yea that definitely needs to be cut and a new section added. Still a simple enough task for a competent muffler shop.
Also +1 on the high heat paint. I sprayed the X3’s muffler (purely for...
I like it
I’m thinking level sensor is failing. The sensor is in the back left part of the pan where the deepest collection area is (see pic), so unless you were parked on an extremely steep nose-down slope I...
I see his username somewhat frequently on Reddit. You could try PM’ing him on there if you’re a Reddit user.
And FWIW it’s spelled TerraPhantm.
My understanding is the M3 part is unique. When I needed to replace mine I was looking at one of the solid-metal replacements and the company who made them said it wouldn’t fit.
Especially since the Z4 did not exist until after the E46 facelift occurred.
Looks like about 1/3-1/2” drop up front without having to get different springs. I’m curious if/how much it changes the caster angle.
