Yes, I drove my car for months before replacing it. Honestly I don't think it's all that big of a deal if you don't replace it. It's on there pretty tight without the tab. Use a thin flat blade...

Hey Sean at least you don't have Step or SMG, the Manual knob is a breeze compared to removing those. I tried removing my SMG knob yesterday and could not get that sucker off!!

Nope. You have to remove the shift knob and bezel. Then the ash tray and radio bracket. The console button is held on by two screws on the backside of the radio bracket.

Look at the wiring at the White plug for the Mod button.

If you get a Sprint Booster make sure it's a TWO wire not a FOUR wire, four wires are a Beouch to soldier onto the new control panel. Charlie or William are the SBSM guys to ask.

Met up with John on Sunday. He brought up my Sprint Booster Mod William did for me. I have a 4 wire button on my Sprint Booster which made it difficult soldering all those wires onto the new switch....

It appears as long as its not a X Series it should work. The N54 is a 335 correct? The guy doesn't have a SB part number listed.
