Damn, that engine support brace is huge!
It's their off the shelf tune that they've been emailing updates for... Been through 6 tunes already... And initially, they sent me the wrong injectors
I don't think they are very good at tuning...
I'm still on the fence of whether it's worth all the $$ and aggravation. Still having idling and drivability issues
The twin screw its self it pretty massive and the manifolds before and after the blower are cast aluminum.
The box the whole kit came in was 90 lbs so I guesstimated 20lbs for the box, water pump...
Lol I may have said that too... Plus I have a 70 lb supercharger on the other side... I'm thinking of dropping the whole thing to do the clutch
I like my gen 3 headers... lots of torque but they were a bitch to install.
I'm using silicone based grease on my front and rear poly swaybar bushings... stuff works great! They've never dried out...
Nice oil pan baffle... I have the VAC version of that... looks like you're running Bimmerbrakes Gen 3 headers?
Oh you're the one that got those... Good deal!
Use a Teflon or silicone based lube on the poly bushings. Aladdin magic lube comes in both Teflon and silicone. The silicone based is super sticky. Yes you'll see it's for pool equipment but I've...
Sounds like you don't have enough lube on your new AKG LCABs....
Looks like it belongs there!
I think they may be my new favorite wheels...
I'm just looking at your wheels again on a full size screen instead of my phone.... Damn! They look exceptionally good on your car!
They look really good on your car!
Yea, I was asking because I still have mine apart. Mine appear to be worn out with, what I would consider, a huge lip. I have a micrometer and a caliper but nothing to measure bores correctly. My...
Curious to know, how big of a wear lip were in the piston bores of the VANOS? especially smaller bores in the covers...
+1
I never had any of the issues that BP was referring to. Maybe he had a bad one? I had no problem rev matching or anything else with mine
One would think if that was the case, then you would of felt some awkwardness with the OEM shifter
Yea the shift knob doesn't sit quite strait on the UUC shaft. I find it annoying but I can live with it. It's the same way on my wife's 135.
After all the stuff I've done to my car, this is still my favorite mod. I have the DSSR too which makes it even tighter
I'm old, that smell doesn't bother me...I remember the days before cats... Even after it was mandatory on new cars, I bet it was a good decade before most cars on the road had cats.
No cats. There is no inspection here in SC
Haha! My thoughts exactly when I took mine for a run after the header install.
I felt a good amount of extra torque from the headers as well.... how about you?
I got almost all of them from underneath... I know exactly which nut you are talking about. They look great!
Looks like you're getting there! If you have someone that can code out the O2 sensors and SAP, I'd go for that. It's so much less of a hassle and all the SAP is going to do is take up space and block...
