I did some comparisons recently - a new 2-series is almost exactly the same dimensionally as an E46. Kinda scared in a way... And I'll say it again...your sis has good taste in cars!

Welcome, new guy! How'd you get to 471 posts so quickly?? :biggrin
A question, out of curiosity - if the previous owner had changed the trans and diff fluids at 90K'ish miles, what made you...
No poly in them is my understanding, just a better design. I'd be in for 2 sets if we can do a group buy. Thanks for your efforts Jacob!
Group buy??
Those are NIIIIIICE!
Curves, I agree completely - the heated seats are really all I want. Didn't realize that car had them as a separate option. Sadly, just not in a position to do anything at the moment....I wish!
I'd like to be ready to buy a coupe, but not quite there yet. Sadly, Sparkling Graphite would be my first choice, making this car nearly perfect (although I really want cold weather package as...
I think we're over-thinking this - just my humble opinions:
1. The strut towers are "under engineered" on the E46 chassis, an obvious weak point. The reinforcement plates are a cheap, effective...
It's just my OCD coming out, and I had to raz you a bit! Car looks great, as always!!
Straighten out the plate San...what the heck are you thinking?!?! Kidding, of course - car is looking good!
Installed the ECS grills on both my cars ('04 330Ci and '03 330i ZHP) - fit, finish, and appearance are great!
I've already volunteered to act as their "test bed" for the new CCV system. They didn't seem excited by this...
Damn....got to read more carefully. Brake pads was my first preference, didn't see the 'brake components' selection (duh!) so I clicked on 'other'. Like I said, damn!
Edit: Also, I could...
Brake pads might be another good candidate...just sayin!
Hmmm...don't we have an insider at Tire Rack? <hint hint>
Winner! :thumbup
You suck! Or, in other words, you lucky sum bitch! The VR6 was a great motor, although not so much in my '96 Jetta GLI - they softened that car up too much...
Most (maybe all!) folks on this site know more than I, but here's my take on it. It will depend a lot on how many miles are on your car and, more specifically, the shocks/struts. When new, the OEM...
Yes....I'd much prefer a 17" x 8" et42, but that's not an option. I really don't want to run 245s all the way around. I may hold off and hope for a similar buy on 18" wheels, still thinking about...
I'm on the list as interested, but my current thinking is that I'll pass. Don't like the limited selection of widths available in the 17" diameter...
Wondered the same thing, but was afraid to ask (Dane has been a busy guy!)
Hmmmm...apparently BMW owners really can't park! :rofl (see pic #2) Just kidding, of course - car looks great, I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a buyer. Best of luck!!
I bought them from ECS Tuning, but I suspect any BMW parts supplier can get them. Note that they are not a 'stock' item at ECS (or Bav Auto, from what I gather) so it may take a bit longer than...
I don't think so - they're made to slide down over the mounting bolts for the strut mounts, so I'd assume that the strut bar would interfere. Here's a couple of pics of them I stole from a...
Little stuff - added the 'M' strut tower covers on the ZHP. They're just plastic, don't cost much, and should keep all the dirt and crud out of the top end of the strut mount. I'll try to get a pic...
