I used these wires from RadioShack :

20' 24AWG 4 Solid Conductor Intercom Wire

They come as a pack contains 20' 4 wires together, you can find smaller...

I got around doing the 4 wire mod....It works!!!!

Wsmeyer was right!! all i had to do was solder a wire from each contact i moved from SB side to sport button side which was 6 wires. I used 24...
