Have you gotten around to look into this, Dane?
Thats ok, but you want to do them in succession. You want them right after another to bring the brakes up to high temp to properly bed them in with the rotors. If you can't do 80-10 you can do 70...
Hit it right on the head Ryan.....don't want to come to a complete stop when the brakes are hot, or they will burn into the rotors!
The bed-in process is VERY important when you install new brakes and rotors. If you haven't done this yet, I would highly suggest it, as it could be the main issue behind them performing poorly.

I was/am in WI, but didn't mind not having the winter package. The only thing that would have made a difference to me was the heated seats!
Hermes, the 2005.5 is actually valid, because that's...
I sold it for $12,500
So the kid that bought my old ZHP has put it up for sale. He emailed me and asked me a few days ago if I kept digital copies of the PAGES and PAGES(literally, 100+ pages) of maintenance records,...
Probably a stupid question, but will this one get all the BMW specific codes also?
I usually put break caliper grease on the back of the pad (and anywhere else that touches metal to metal), this will help a lot!
Also, did you do the bed-in process after they were installed? ...
:thumbup
Sounds like a solid plan!
Awesome! They also sent me a TON of swag when I ordered mine for mentioning they had a great race season last year and couldn't wait to watch again this season. I got a lanyard, license plate...
+1
Also, if parts of your suspension are a starting to wear (FCABs, Tie Rods, Ball Joints) it can cause play in the steering, which in turn will cause the vibration you are talking about. I had a worn...
I haven't seen any fade at all, but mine have only been on for about 5k miles.
When I replaced mine, I bled them to make sure there weren't any air bubbles, but my reservoir was still at max after...
They are made of the same carbon metallic compound, but the Z-rated ones are specifically made for cars that do a little tracking or Auto-X. They perform a little better while under extreme heat...
Yea, they are great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that's looking for new pads!
Sadly, this is what I've heard about a LOT of dealership experiences.
Very good to hear that they are going to replace the damaged part for you though. At least they are doing the right thing...
I just did a whole new brake/rotor job on my M3. I went with Bimmerworld's Performance Friction pads. These are the same ones that they use on their race cars, and seem to hold up amazing!

Does anybody have these?

I'm looking into getting the Smoked LED corners for my car and wanted to see how they looked...
I'll see you at the next one Eli, no worries!
Thanks! I've been looking into the smoked corners for awhile, just need to pull the trigger. I'll get ahold of BP and see if we can work something out :D
So it has been quite awhile since I've been around, sorry!! Work got a little crazy there for awhile, so I didn't have nearly as much time to keep track of the forums during the day :p
So I...
I will definitely take those off your hands, my M3 would love to drink some of that :D
