    DISA O-Ring replacement options comparison

There seem to be two main popular O-rings used when you need to replace the O-ring on the DISA (common vacuum leak point).

I purchased both the Fel Pro gasket (PN 35489 for a 1991 to 1994 Ford Probe) at advanced auto for ~$7, and the german auto solutions O-ring (as part of my DISA repair kit).

I can say for sure that the Fel Pro gasket is nowhere near what the german auto solutions one was. I couldn't even tighten it all the way with the Fel Pro. Notice how it is thicker and has a smaller diameter.

If you need just the O-ring, the G.A.S is a no brainer:

The cheaper, $5~ orange GAS o-ring isn't of very good quality. I put mine in back in November and I pulled my DISA this afternoon to clean my throttle body, and it was already cracked and brittle. Spend the cash for the best one (it's blue I think).

You know what. I ordered the combo pack with the 1.2 bar coolant cap. They don't give you an option for upgrading the ring.
