    Smaller Upper Radiator Hose Leak

Last Thursday I replaced my expansion tank, the upper rad hose had been replaced approximately 2 months ago. After the tank replacement everything was good, no leaks of any kind. Two days later I turned the car on and turned the AC on, stepped out to double check no leaks, and found it "spit" some coolant. I turned off the car and began to try and find the leak, was able to pin point it to the smaller of the two connections from the upper rad hose to the ET. Today I removed the upper radiator hose and cleaned the connections and replaced, no luck it still slowly drips.
Does anyway have any ideas on how to seal this us? Its not a massive leak, its a slow stream and its not constant, it has not even leaked enough to require me to top off the coolant at this point. So far I see my options as try to get ECS to replace the tank, and order another new upper rad hose and start over. Only issue is this weekend are my only days off until next Sunday, so im going to have to monitor the fluid level and live with it until next weekend unless I can figure it out and get it fixed soon..... any help or tips are much appreciated!

Disassemble and look at o-ring. If it's good, there could be a defect in the mating surface on the tank.

I actually did not notice an o-ring in there, its very possible that it was still mated to the old tank which is now gone, is there a part number for a replacement o-ring or do you now of someone a similar size that I can find at a parts store? Was the ring inside the rad hose?

I believe there is a piece of software on that joint.

I will disassemble again and check it out, if it comes down to it I will just order a new rad hose, I can eat the 30$ not a huge deal. Thanks for the help Dane.

If you want I can measure the oring that's in my original upper radiator hose. You can even have it if needed.

What brand Exspansion Tank did you get from ECS?
I replied to your PM also.

Gary that Teflon tape idea is great didn't even think of it! I may try that as a temp fix till I have a chance to replace the ring

It should do the trick. Oh ya the oring sits in a groove just behind the taper on the connection. I took mine out to measure, it's the white ring.
