Oil added between changes (7.5k-10k miles) BMW ZHP E46 330i

No need to comment since we have the other thread started. I thought maybe we could glean some info from a poll. Just a quick click.

    Thanks

Feel free to comment as well.

My old 330 ZHP had 115k on the clock and it never consumed, leaked, or burned any oil

    Car is at 65K miles:

2003 Sedan, 6MT, completely stock. Original gaskets. Consumes no oil between oil changes*. It's always at the full mark.

*Time of observation: 5 months, 2k miles

Are we assuming 7500-mile oil changes?

I think most of us here do changes between 7500 and 10k miles. Sure...

My last oil change (7,500-mile intervals) was the first time I had to add a quart; I'm only ~2k miles into this interval & level's holding steady.

143k here, and I've noticed no oil "consumption" since I fixed the OFHG leak.

I'm wondering if some seeing "consumption" are due to leaks instead of actually burning oil.

I do changes every 5K. Too much city driving. No noticeable oil consumption in about 25K since I got the car.
