I am not on stock 135's either, but thought i'd chime in as I have Style 197's with Rear 18x8.5 with +37mm offset (stock 135's are 18x8.5 with +51mm offset) so that is equivalent to a 14mm spacer- and with 4 grown fellers in the back, around an aggressive turn, i get slight rub on stock suspension.

I'm happy with the 10s up front, but I think, aesthetically, the rears could be pushed out a li'l bit more; a 15 would probably be perfect. I haven't experienced any rubbing like Charlie has, but I also haven't had any passengers (other than my 2-yo) nor hit any large bumps since installing the spacers.

I would assume with 10mm spacers only, you should be good to go.

    Gents, to clarify...

What is the purpose of these spaces? My guess is to widen the track of the wheels, providing better cornering.

    Or is it just looks?

FWIW, I'm ok with the latter, but wanted to clarify as I hear about this mod all the time on here.

I'm sure there are some performance benefits, but for me, it's 99% looks.

It's really just looks. Some say a wider track helps handling but others say that it introduces another potential point of failure, pointing out that race cars don't use them. So, it's all of the above probably, but mainly for looks, as very few of us drive our cars hard enough/often enough for them to really make a difference.

Some have also said this may cause your bearing to wear out a litle faster now that the fulcrum has changed a bit.
