    Steering wheel roundel overlays

So I noticed that the BMW roundel on my steering wheel looks kinda pitted under the clear plastic and crappy on some spots...
Found out that the roundel can't be replaced without replacing the whole air bag assembly...

SO, there are thin metal stick-on overlays online for like $10 or so...

has anyone used those? experience? Are there any other/better places to buy them?

    Thanks IA for any feedback/input.

Aren't those black and white carbon fiber looking ones pretty popular? I've seen a million, and a lot of them replace that airbag one - must be a simple sticker then. I have never noticed it as sticker.

I replaced mine with one I bought off eBay, self adhesive. I removed the factory rounded from the steering wheel. I didn't like how it looked on top of the original roundel, you could see it underneath. Removing the old one was fun as its held on by metal tabs.

I have the Black and White carbon fiber roundel. If I was to it again I would go with the Bimmian overlays. I just bought a set for my hood and trunk Roundels and they work great, super sticky.

This was mine on the old zhp. It was a sticker, and i did not remove anything before applying.

Thanks for the tips - I really don't want to poke around and try pulling it off, as it's supposedly part of the air bag...
Just trying to see which place has the best quality overlays...
Keep the info/tips coming, it's very helpful...please post links if you have any...
I wonder the 'matte' look ones make for a better look in the ZHP, instead of the shiny plastic topped ones....

Actually that roundel is part of the steering wheel cover not the airbag. I had a photo of it somewhere let me see if I can find it.

    .

I like this one I have on mine, it's actually an aluminum helmet sticker sold by BMW Motorrad. I like that it has a brushed aluminum finish to it. Looks better than the chrome/plastic look on the original emblem.

This looks like the Roundel for the E30 bottlecap wheels! They are slightly rounded and aluminum too.

Hey, Thanks! I like the look, too!
So it has the same dimension as the current roundel on our steering wheels, right?
