Any E46 325i owners out there?

I posted a WTB ad a few days ago since I'm looking to get a ZHP with auto for my wife. I've been coming across quite a few 325i's with the sports package that look very clean and with good service history. Obviously I don't expect it to be as good as the ZHP, but since she won't be as critical - can anyone out there who has one one or has driven one please chime in?

Oddly, prices are quite similar and the ZHP's aren't much more, but thought I'd check with ppl here first.

    Thanks,
    Raj

I had an e46 323i automatic sedan. Man, I still miss that car. I don't drive agressively, so it had enough power for my needs.

I had a 325i 5 speed. It was a fun car... Both cars have different personalities. The my 325 seemed to rev more freely and felt lighter on it's feet than the ZHP. But, the zhp handles better. No-where near the torque but fun none the less. Mine was also an early example (2002) of the E46 and the build quality didn't feel as high as that of my ZHP. I would say go drive one and see if you like it.

A good friend of mine who is a huge BMW fanboy owns one. I have driven and ridden in it many times. You are right, it isn't a ZHP but it is a SOLID car. Plenty of fun, longevity, and a good looking car at that. I would say go for it if you find a good, clean one.

My current car is a 2005 sport package 325 with 5 speed. I have never driven in a ZHP so I can't compare them, but I like my ZSP and enjoy it everyday.

The car is solid and zippy with great BMW feel and cornering abilities.

    Love it! See it here.

When I got my ZHP, I passed my 2005 325i Auto Sedan to my son and it going strong with over 200,000 miles now. 28 mpg day in day out commuting.

I had a 330 with sports and premium package that I rather liked (except it kept throwing codes--air leak I never was able to track down). I think one would be worth considering again.
