Noticed this morning that the engine on a cold start is noticeably quieter. Could be attributed to the fact that the oil viscosity is now 5w-30 instead of the thinner 0w-40

Or could be the Liqui Moly too...
My GMC truck recommends 0W20 synthetic, used that for the first 50K miles. My mechanic buddy warned against oil this thin after the first 50K miles, so last couple of oil changes swapped to BMW 5W30 synthetic. Now closing in on 65K, same thing, engine got quieter on cold startups.

I used Mobil 1 0w-40 once and I thought the engine wasn't as smooth as it was when running with 5w-30

I haven't noticed any real difference between the BMW 5W-30 that I had in there for most of my ownership and the Mobil1 0W-40 I've had in there for a couple of months before I put it into storage.

Update:
354 miles currently on the ODO after doing an oil change and getting a full tank of gas Premium 93+. Gas gauge is currently at 1/4 and this is with strictly city driving ( no interstate )
Will report back to how many miles I drove on a single tank and the mpg.

Those miles are really good for city driving. I get around 220 miles per tank on my car. And usually fill up when the gauge is at the 1/4 mark.
