    Window Motor going out

I thought my window regulator was done (it was), but the window is still going up and down slow. Cleaned the guide rails, so I'm thinking it is the window motor.

Has anyone used the Bosch motor? Are they OEM? I see them for $89, but found genuine BMW for $150 after shipping. The part number is 67628362063 in case anyone has other suggestions.

Bosch is OEM. Did you grease the tracks or just clean them ?

How can you tell if it's the window regulator or the switch itself? My window has been working fine, no issues whatsoever. I rolled it half way down this morning on the way to work then pulled up on the window switch to roll it up and the window goes all the down! I can hear a clicking noise when I try to roll it up coming from inside of the door. Also I noticed there seems to be a slight difference in the feel of the switches drivers vs passenger side. The passenger side has two points where you can feel it engage and the drivers switch only has one. Could the switch be bad?

Sounds like the cable came off the track. Getting it back on the track is a horrible, pathetic, miserable, unattainable goal.

I would just pop the door card off and check it out before procuring parts.

+1 Window regulators are the one thing on my car that I won't try fixing lol. Just replace it and be done with it.

Well it turns out it's the Switch. I used the key to roll up the window and it worked fine, no strange noises. Got lucky!

Take it apart and check it out. They're pretty simple inside and it should be obvious what is wrong.
